Job Summary
Senior Project Engineer (CEI) is the Owner’s representative on transportation projects, responsible for managing large complex projects with Construction, Engineering, and Inspection services, ensuring safety, quality, timely completion, and client satisfaction. Leads client engagement, proposal development, sales, profitability, and mentorship of a professional team. Duties include independent professional judgment, reviewing team performance for quality, providing professional client communications, performing CPM schedule reviews, managing Change Orders/Work Orders/Final Payments, and ensuring compliance with contract plans and specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) registered in the State of Florida or ability to obtain endorsement in the State of Florida within six months of Project NTP if registered in another state.
- BS in Civil Engineering
- Six (6) years of engineering experience
- Two (2) of those years involved in relevant transportation projects.
- Exception: Five (5) years for Complex Category 2 (CC2) and PTS bridge structures
- A master’s degree in engineering may be substituted for one (1) year engineering experience.
- Valid and Safe Driver License
- Certifications Required: FDOT Advanced MOT
- CTQP Quality Control Manager (Attend and pass the examination)
