Job Summary
Senior Project Engineer responsible for designing, estimating, and managing engineered-to-order sanitary processing systems (food/beverage/dairy/pharma). Lead CAD work (P&IDs, process flow diagrams, equipment layouts, 3D models) and technical proposals, coordinate with sales and customers, manage scope, schedule, and cost, lead design reviews, oversee installations and subcontractors, and mentor engineering staff. Requires extensive experience in sanitary fluid processing, CAD tools (AutoCAD/SolidWorks), ability to develop cost estimates and proposals, strong project-management skills, and willingness to travel up to 35% to customer and vendor sites. PE license preferred; Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with Master’s preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- 10+ years of experience with engineered-to-order or project-based custom systems
- Strong background in sanitary fluid processing and related industries
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design and drafting tools
- Ability to create and interpret P&IDs
- Skilled in project management, cost estimation, proposal development, and customer engagement
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and project management tools
- Willing to travel up to 35% to customer and vendor locations
