Job Summary
Support and lead airport design and improvement projects from planning through construction, preparing and reviewing plans, specifications, and contract documents. Provide technical design support and independent production of engineering documents while ensuring designs comply with FAA Advisory Circulars and airport design standards. Assist with project management, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams, including site visits and contractor coordination during construction administration. Present findings to clients, stakeholders, and contractors while maintaining and growing the client base in New York and the Mid-Atlantic. Maintain SIDA security badge clearance and pass a background check.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- PE Required
- 6+ years of airport design and/or aviation construction experience in private industry or government
- Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD
- Must be eligible for security badge clearance (SIDA) at US airports; pass a background check
Desired Qualifications
- Business Development and/or Project Management experience a plus, but not required
- Project Management experience a plus, but not required
- Experience with construction administration and project delivery
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Ability to effectively participate as part of a project team, develop and maintain client relations, and meet project demands and schedules
