Job Summary
Conduct site commissioning, acceptance testing, and SCADA/PPC/MGC implementation for renewable solar and oil & gas projects. Develop, test, and troubleshoot communication systems using protocols like Modbus, IEC 61850, and DNP while supervising field installation and preparing instructional documentation. Coordinate FAT and SAT, manage stakeholder meetings with suppliers and clients, and provide on-site training to ensure compliance with project requirements. Prepare site reports, align schedules with the commissioning team, and support strategic planning for short and long-term project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate in Instrument/Electronic & Telecommunication/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 8-10 years of working experience in Renewable Solar SCADA and Oil & Gas Site Commissioning
- Knowledge of Arabic
- Knowledge of Modbus TCP/IP
- Knowledge of IEC 104
- Knowledge of DNP
- Knowledge of IEC 61850
- Knowledge of IT Hardware Servers, Workstation, etc. & Operating System
- Knowledge of Network Design
- Knowledge of Documentation
- Knowledge of Site Commissioning
- Knowledge of Project Engineering
- Knowledge of FAT & SAT
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Strong attention to detail

- Develop, implement, test, and troubleshoot Communication systems utilizing the experience of IP networking, UDP/TCP/IP, switching and routing, firewalls, gateways, GPRS/EDGE/3G/4G modems
- Co-ordinate and execute SAT, provide validation support and customer training
- Conduct and supervise field installation of new or retrofit equipment and prepare instructional installation documents for clients and project teams
- SCADA Software implementation and design as per customer specification
- Testing and troubleshooting SCADA Software Application and Fix it
- Prepare, coordinate, execute factory and site acceptance test along with commissioning of SCADA/PPC/MGC/SPM system to the client's satisfaction, provide on-site customer training, and ensure compliance with project requirements
- Strategic Planning & analysis on short term and long-term project commissioning
- Site Engineer for meeting & coordination works with all equipment suppliers and clients
- Schedule, Report Preparation, and work alignment with Site Engineer Team
- Power System Expert in electrical Protection and Control System
- Technical knowledge on multiple communication protocol such as Modbus, IEC 61850, DNP, IEC 60870-50-104
- Perform site acceptance test as per approved client format
- Prepare site report
- Conducting communication point to point testing with multiple electrical equipment's on standard communication protocol
- Performing SCADA, PPC/MGC application testing and demonstration
