Job Summary
Lead engineering efforts for E-House integration of MV/LV electrical equipment, manage project plans, deliver design reviews and approvals, coordinate with customers and vendors, ensure on-time contract completion and customer satisfaction, monitor subcontractors, and provide technical leadership across ABB Electrification Distribution Solutions in a hybrid work model across Houston, Lake Mary, and Mebane.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years relevant engineering experience in electrical power systems and project engineering
- Strong knowledge of MV/LV switchgear, protections, controls, automation, and integration within Power Distribution Centers
- Familiarity with transformers, drives, motors, bus duct, cables, and associated equipment
- Ability to design and calculate electrical systems for integrated Power Distribution Centers, including cable sizing, conduit fill, voltage drop, breaker sizing, and overall HV–LV distribution
- Proficiency in creating, modifying, and reviewing electrical drawings (single-line, three-line, schematics, interconnections, wire lists) and validating vendor/customer designs, protection schemes, and metering
- Working knowledge of IEEE/ANSI, NEMA, NETA, API, PIP, NEC/NESC standards and codes
- Ability to lead, influence senior stakeholders and customers
- Overnight travel up to 30%
