Job Summary
Senior Project Engineer leading and executing multiple projects within defined scopes and budgets; develops statements of work (SOWs), cost proposals, and project timelines for new opportunities; acts as primary interface with customers and internal stakeholders; prepares monthly and final technical reports; manages projects from 2 months to 2 years with values from tens of thousands to over $1 million; fosters customer relationships, oversees project plans (SOW, cost proposal, schedule), and ensures on-time, on-budget delivery while meeting client objectives; travel required and collaboration with DoD-related programs and manufacturing processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors’ degree in Engineering with curriculum emphasizing Manufacturing Technology and/or Mechanical Engineering or other comparable degree program with 10 years of experience
- In lieu of a Bachelors’ degree the incumbent can have an Associates’ degree in a related field with 20 years of experience
- Experience in the manufacturing and machining industry with a proven record of increasing responsibility in technical applications
- Experience successfully leading and maintaining individual projects, including effective delegation of tasks
- Experience with Department of Defense
- Good leadership skills
- Detail oriented
- Good oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Good technical report writing
- Good customer service skills
- Good organizational skills
- Willingness to travel
- Experience developing effective manufacturing processes to support production of defense related components; additive manufacturing is a plus
