Job Summary
Lead design execution from concept through construction for multiple architectural projects, managing phases including schematic design, design development, and construction administration. Facilitate collaboration with internal teams, external consultants, and strategic partners while directing 3D modeling using Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite. Guide and mentor designers, provide vision for proposals, and strategize interviews to secure project opportunities. Communicate key firm initiatives and address client requests regarding budget and constraints. Participate in design iterations to enhance building performance and integrate sustainable principles.
Required Qualifications
- strong design portfolio
- exceptional leadership skills
- ability to lead the design execution from concept through construction architectural projects of multiple scales
- Bachelor's or Master's of Architecture
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- corresponding portfolio demonstrating various phases of project work
- ability to show examples of Programming, Schematic, & Design Development, CD's as well as finished project photos
- ability to clearly and effectively communicate and present design concepts and rationales graphically, verbally, and through writing
- understanding and experience integrating sustainable and universal design principles
- ability to address client requests, budget considerations, existing or new architectural opportunities or constraints or other impacts on design concept
- ability to sketch/draw by hand
- knowledge of sustainable and universal design concepts
- competency in Revit, SketchUp, Rhino (Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite)
