Senior Project Coordinator

Job Summary
Produces construction documents and specifications while running small commercial architecture projects with minimal oversight. Solves basic design issues, coordinates with engineering disciplines, and leads kick-off meetings. Delegates and reviews CAD Technician work, assimilates project information from architects and clients, and researches codes and construction techniques. Completes designated scope of work within allotted time budgets while effectively communicating with municipal officials, contractors, and customers. Requires 5+ years of commercial architecture experience, a Bachelor's degree, and proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit. Full-time in-office role at Interplan, a firm specializing in restaurant and retail design for nationwide clients.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working on commercial architecture projects, with the last 2 years being self-lead/needing minimal assistance
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
- Preparation of construction documents
- Ability to research construction techniques for unusual conditions
- Good understanding of zoning and working knowledge of building codes
- Software requirements: AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Sketchup
- Limited travel opportunities (site visits and client meetings)
- Strong skills with MS office, and Adobe Suites
- Knowledge and understanding of MEP drawings and systems
- Good understanding of the architects' scope of services
- Ability to effectively communicate with municipal officials, clients and contractors
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to be a team player as well as work independently
Desired Qualifications
- combination of schooling and drafting/design experience in an Architectural office preferred
- Architectural licensure or path to licensure a plus
- any Revit is a plus
