Senior Project Controls Manager

Senior Project Controls Specialist-turned-manager responsible for supporting the preparation of budgets and cost estimates, maintaining baseline budgets, and producing monthly cost reports (commitments, actuals, accruals) for capital projects. Oversees change requests and validates budget, scope, and risk impact; ensures changes are reflected in cost reports and project systems; maintains audit-ready change logs; validates requisitions for budgets and cost codes; supports bid leveling, contract reviews, and invoice validation; identifies financial risks and supports mitigation strategies; analyzes variances, tracks cashflow forecasts, and supports project financial closeout with accurate documentation. Requires 6–10+ years in cost control/project controls, proficiency with Excel and cost-management tools, and experience with procurement/PR-PO processes, contract reviews, and invoice validation. Preferred certifications (RICS, AACE, or equivalent) or progress toward accreditation; background in real estate, construction, engineering, or capital projects; strong communication and stakeholder-management skills. This role is with AtkinsRéalis in Raleigh, NC, with responsibilities spanning budgeting, reporting, risk mitigation, and closeout activities across project lifecycles.
