Job Summary
Senior-level Project Controls Analyst responsible for establishing and enforcing robust project control systems across DoD construction/operations programs. Responsibilities include monitoring IDIQ task orders, tracking TO balances, aligning costs with funding sources, delivering management reports on burn rates and project status, and supporting cost control for labor, materials, and subcontractor charges. Includes monthly/quarterly financial reporting, variance analysis, audits/compliance documentation, and close collaboration with PMs, Finance, and Contract Administration to ensure correct billing and adherence to FAR/DFARS and company policies. Lead project controls activities across DoD programs, set up WBS and cost coding structures, develop monthly performance reports (cost, revenue, gross profit), validate WIP, monitor variances and risks, support forecasting, ensure contractual/compliance requirements, and provide leadership insights on cost trends and margin risk.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of project controls experience within DoD contracting environments
- At least 5 years of direct experience supporting construction or construction-type projects
- Demonstrated experience with Work-In-Progress (WIP) accounting and reporting
- Strong working knowledge of Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Time & Materials (T&M) contract types
- Proven ability to support project setup, cost tracking, and monthly reporting cycles
- Experience working directly with Project Managers and program leadership in execution environments
- Strong understanding of job cost accounting, revenue recognition, and project financial controls
