Senior Project Construction Manager

Job Summary
Senior-level construction management role overseeing development of construction execution strategies for capital projects and acquisition strategies for subcontracted construction and/or design/build contracts. Responsibilities include occasional oversight of large construction subcontract execution, maintaining subcontract policies and guidelines, supporting development and standardization of subcontract documents, and conducting constructability reviews with Title II support to capital projects. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 15–17 years of practical construction experience (equivalency via associate's or high school diploma options listed), deep knowledge of construction, cost and scheduling, subcontract administration, and the ability to develop or evaluate construction strategies and techniques. Preferred: experience with large construction contracts for line-item capital projects and with oversight of STR programs and STR policy development at Savannah River Site.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 15 - 17 years of practical experience in construction
- Associate's degree with 17 - 19 years of practical experience or high school diploma with 19 - 21 years of practical experience considered equivalent
- Knowledge of construction, cost and scheduling, subcontract administration, and the ability to develop or evaluate construction strategies and techniques
- Experience with large construction contracts and subcontract/Design-Build contracts (preferred)
- Experience with oversight/management of subcontract/STR programs at Savannah River Site (preferred)
- Experience with development of STR policies/procedures at Savannah River Site (preferred)
