Job Summary
Senior Project Buyer – Wind role requiring developing supplier relationships, soliciting bids, analyzing quotations, and selecting suppliers. Purchases items and services at favorable prices meeting quality/spec requirements, tracks orders from placement to delivery, facilitates meetings, enters purchase agreements and orders, and performs site visits to strengthen working relationships with project teams and diverse stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, construction management, or related discipling or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience
- 4+ years of procurement experience and/or experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and materials, purchasing processes, and procedures (preferred)
- Project Management experience (preferred)
- Understanding of the construction industry (preferred)
- Negotiating, organizing, planning, verbal, and communication skills
- Strong customer service and analytical skills
- Active listening skills and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback
- Software experience
- Current driver's license
