Job Summary
Senior Project Architect leads mid-to-large scale hospitality/urban/resort projects from schematic to construction documentation, coordinating internal and external teams to deliver design outcomes on budget and schedule. Responsibilities include interpreting and organizing design concepts, translating design intent into detailed drawings, monitoring the design process through construction administration, reporting project progress and labor against budgets, communicating scope, schedule, and costs to stakeholders, ensuring QA/QC and best-practice standards, coordinating technical drawings and specifications, and mentoring team members. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, professional architectural license, and 15+ years of experience; proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (with Rhino/SketchUp a plus); strong sketching skills; deep knowledge of architectural systems, codes, QA/QC, CA processes, and client negotiations; and willingness to travel; location-based in Dallas with office presence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
- Professional architectural license
- Strong proficiency in Revit
- AutoCAD and 3D modeling software (Rhino, SketchUp)
- Sketching skills
- 15+ years of experience managing small to mid-size architectural projects (hospitality, urban/mixed-use, resort hotels)
- Experience in client management and negotiations
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Travel may be required
