Senior Project Architect - Health

Job Summary
Lead team and Project Architects in planning work, developing solutions to technical design problems, and managing production schedules with defined deadlines. Create and modify complex implementation documents, conduct code analysis, and verify zoning requirements meet assigned project segments. Supervise document preparation, ensure QA/QC and HKS standards compliance, and resolve technical coordination issues. Prepare client presentations, present design concepts, and maintain open communication with clients, agencies, consultants, and contractors to incorporate engineering systems and obtain approvals. Deliver projects on budget while managing scope negotiations and potentially leading proposal preparation and business development processes.
Required Qualifications
- Accredited professional degree in Architecture
- Architectural Registration required
- Typically 15+ years of experience
- Proficiency in architectural software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks and 3D modeling software
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Advanced knowledge of sustainability and integrated design guidelines
- Advanced knowledge of architectural building systems, accessibility guidelines and QA/QC process
- Advanced knowledge of building codes and ability to research and apply/incorporate into implementation documents
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
- Ability to manage team with diplomatic leadership style which puts value on relationships and collaboration, both internal and external
- Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with health projects preferred
- Sustainable design accreditation preferred
- Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup and InDesign graphic software preferred
