Job Summary
Collaborate with the Principal and team to fully understand the individuality of the client project and develop programmatic direction. Lead the development of design and construction documents from concept through construction administration, conducting preliminary design studies, analyzing space planning, and performing code and zoning analysis. Mentor junior team members through redlining and technical guidance while coordinating with consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure high-quality project delivery. Oversee entitlement and building permit processes, review shop drawings, and utilize 3D software renderings to communicate design concepts. Conduct site visits, participate in client meetings, and identify risks affecting timelines, budgets, or quality. Prepare requests for pricing and maintain document accuracy with office standards. Engage in firm activities, project reviews, and marketing efforts including presentations to prospective clients.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed architects
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture
- Strong mentoring skills
- Highly proficient in REVIT
- Highly proficient in AutoCAD
- Highly proficient in BIM360
- Proficient in SketchUp
- Proficient in other 3D modeling software
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project
- Familiarity with Excel
- Familiarity with Word
- Familiarity with Google Workspace
- Extensive experience in design development
- Extensive experience in detailing
- Extensive experience in construction documentation
- Ability to develop concise construction documents to a very high level of detail
