Senior Programmatic Specialist
Hybrid · St. Louis, Missouri, United States or Kansas City, Missouri, United States
Job Summary
Senior Programmatic Specialist responsible for hands-on campaign execution across display, video, CTV, audio, and emerging channels (primarily The Trade Desk) with thorough trafficking, QA, optimization, and collaboration with strategy, client engagement, and measurement teams. You will translate media plans into campaign architectures, implement brand-safety and inventory-quality standards, manage day-to-day pacing, run structured tests across audiences, creatives, and bidding strategies, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure campaigns meet client KPIs (CPA, ROAS, VCR, CPV, CTR, viewability). You will maintain fluency across DSPs beyond The Trade Desk, contribute to internal playbooks, and support PMP activation and supply-path decisions while maintaining a well-documented book of business and a quality-of-work that can be handed to teammates. The role requires strong attention to QA, optimization storytelling, cross-functional collaboration, and ownership mindset in a hybrid, office-plus-remote environment.
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years of hands-on programmatic trading experience at an agency, brand, DSP, or trading desk
- Strong working expertise in The Trade Desk - building, optimizing, and reporting independently - with exposure to at least one additional DSP
- Generalist channel experience across display, video, CTV, audio, and native; comfort working across multiple verticals
- Solid measurement fluency: pixels, conversion APIs, UTMs, viewability, and the limits of each
- Comfort with PMPs, deal IDs, and the basics of the supply ecosystem (ads.txt/sellers.json, SPO, MFA, brand safety)
- Strong organizational instincts - you can run multiple campaigns and clients in parallel without dropping a QA step
- Clear, low-drama communicator who can explain what's happening in a campaign to a strategist, a client, or a teammate without jargon as a crutch
- Bias toward ownership and curiosity - you treat your book of business like it's yours, not like it's assigned to you
- Nice to Have - Experience with regulated verticals (pharma/HCP, financial services, B2B); familiarity with Canadian inventory, data, and measurement partners
- The Trade Desk Edge Academy certifications (or willingness to complete them within the first 90 days)
Additional Requirements
- Visa sponsorship not available; must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
