Job Summary
Senior Program Manager for US Ship Design responsible for leading and coordinating multiple ship design programs across concept through construction and in-service upgrades. Oversees P&L, costs, scheduling, quality, and on-time delivery; prepares proposals to shipyards and government clients; coordinates with a multi-disciplinary team of naval architects, mechanical, software, electrical, structural, and systems engineers; develops and executes change proposals; tracks schedule and budget; facilitates regular meetings and manages CDRLs and action items; supports portfolio management and engineering groups in financial and staffing planning; requires 15+ years of program management experience in ship design/build and a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline, with an ability to obtain SECRET clearance and US citizenship.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or other related discipline
- 15+ years’ total experience
- Project management experience in ship design and ship building programs with U.S. Government end-customers
- Strong customer focus, ability to support team leadership, and establish strong, collaborative working relationships with customers, technical staff, senior managers, and peers
- Strong problem-solving skills, along with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Has or able to obtain a SECRET clearance, US Citizenship required
