Job Summary
Lead end-to-end ownership of purchasing initiatives for commercial van programs, including supplier sourcing, tooling kickoff, and readiness for pre-production and production milestones. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time completion of activities, manage expectations, and articulate risks to senior leadership while driving structured decision-making processes. Independently implement solutions for complex procurement challenges, utilizing data management and analysis across applications like SAP, Jira, and Databricks to support strategic initiatives. This onsite role in Plymouth, Michigan reports to the Sr. Manager of Procurement Program Management and requires 10-15% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Proven ability to take action on procurement strategies and achieve strategic initiatives
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate through ambiguity and complexity
- Professional presentation skills
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed based on business needs, expected to average between 10 - 15 %
- Data management, analysis, and reporting skills across applications including Google Workspace, SAP, Confluence, Jira, Databricks, HEX
- Experience with Rivian approved and provided AI tools to drive efficiencies into Purchasing processes and reporting
