Job Summary
Lead overall RATT contract execution for the Navy Readiness Assistance Training Team (RATT) to support CNSP; primary work location onsite in San Diego, CA with up to 20% travel to PACFLEET locations; role involves directing technical, engineering, logistical, and support services, coordinating workforce across CONUS/OCONUS sites, and delivering Sailor-centric deck-plate training, material reviews, and program audits to enhance ship readiness. Requires 15+ years of Navy/contract management experience, PMP certification, a Masters or higher degree, Senior Navy ship leadership as a SWO/CO and engineering leadership as Chief Engineer, ISIC/TYCOM/Afloat Training Group experience, extensive Navy technical management experience, depot-level maintenance knowledge, and strong leadership, communication, and Microsoft Office skills. Security clearance (SECRET) and U.S. citizenship are required; travel includes overseas destinations and US-based sites, with a typical pay range of $140,000–$155,000 per year.
Required Qualifications
- At least 15 years of combined active duty and/or federal contractor experience in managing labor categories and monitoring performance of federal Government service contracts
- Post-graduate degree (Masters or above) from an accredited university in management or a technical field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Senior Navy ship leadership experience as a Surface Warfare Officer and Commanding Officer of a U.S. Navy warship
- Senior Navy ship engineering leadership experience as a Chief Engineer of a U.S. Navy warship
- Maintenance/training staff experience (e.g. ISIC, TYCOM, or Afloat Training Group)
- Extensive Navy technical management experience
- Extensive experience in Navy ship maintenance strategy and process development, implementation, and control
- Supervisory experience in analyses, information system operations, and implementation of technical projects
- In-depth knowledge of Navy ship depot level maintenance processes
- Navy shipboard experience on multiple ships
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in fast-paced operational environments
- Excellent personnel management and communication skills
- Security clearance: SECRET required; U.S. citizenship required to be considered
- Post-graduate degree (Masters or above) and PMP certification are listed as required knowledge/abilities
