Senior Program Manager: Medical Respite and Alliance for Health Equity

Job Summary
Manage day-to-day implementation of system change and community health equity projects, including coordinating subject matter experts, service providers, and people with lived expertise. Lead project management for technical assistance, grant agreements, and contracts while synthesizing policy input related to Illinois' Medicaid 1115 Waiver. Develop training content, conduct qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and oversee budget planning and compliance. Facilitate inclusive meetings, design capacity building activities, and represent the organization in local, state, and national initiatives. This full-time, exempt role supports IPHI's health and housing strategy through collaboration with healthcare providers, government agencies, and community-based organizations to advance racial and health equity.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree
- Master's degree
- 4-5 years of Public health-related experience
- A minimum of 6 years of applied/relevant professional experience applying Public Health knowledge / skills or other similar experience outside of Public Health
- Project management experience
- Experience designing and implementing capacity building opportunities for policy and systems change
- Experience with collaborative convening and capacity building such as training and/or learning collaboratives
- Experience designing and facilitating highly effective and inclusive meetings
- Expert understanding of Microsoft programs including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook
- Expert understanding of Zoom, Asana, and other project management or organizing apps
- Prioritizes tasks and meets deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Understands and can clearly convey regulations, guidelines, and programmatic outcomes relevant to program implementation
- Must be able to sit at and operate a computer and other office equipment for a significant portion of the workday
- Must be able to move about the office to access files and supplies
- This position may entail occasional work in the evenings or on weekends
- This position is located in Chicago
- This position is located in Chicago and will require adherence to our hybrid schedule
- There is travel for meetings and site visits within Chicago, the suburbs, and Illinois
- Occasional overnight travel within Illinois or nationally for conferences and training may be required
Desired Qualifications
- master's preferred in public health or related area
- Knowledge and experience with state or federal grant funding, reporting, and compliance
- Knowledge of and experience with healthcare and/or homeless service partners in Illinois
