Job Summary
Senior Program Manager at G&H (Gooch & Housego) responsible for managing the program management portfolio in the Innovation Hub and Ilminster, ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence, and enabling new programmes with costed proposals. Works with the General Manager OS Division, Head of Defence Programs, Program Management, Sales & Business Development to create and maintain project plans and statements of work (SOW), coordinate across Engineering, Supply Chain and Operations, and lead customer program meetings. Oversees profit-improvement initiatives, governs change/risk/resource management, and interfaces with leadership to prepare reports. Requires experience managing multi-million dollar programs, a technical background (Mechanical Design, Optics, or Electronics), and strong communication/presentation skills, with awareness of contractual requirements and quality/system processes.”,
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years (or equivalent) of management experience in multi-million programs
- Educated to degree level in a relevant technical, science, engineering or business discipline
- Technical knowledge in at least one of Mechanical Design, Optics or Electronics
- Knowledge of commercial aspects of Optics desirable
- Proven track record in driving and executing on Defence programs
- Strong communication and presentation skills
