Job Summary
Manage the operation, maintenance, and modernization of the Wideband Global SATCOM System (WGS) for the US Space Force's Space Operations Command and Space Delta 8. Provide day-to-day operational support to manage DoD satellite communications capabilities, ensuring availability across multiple CONUS and OCONUS sites. Maintain US Active Top Secret clearance and deliver presentations and oral briefings to stakeholders. Remain available within two hours during duty hours and six hours after normal duty hours to address any issues. This role supports the war-fighting lead function for SATCOM, driving national resilience and operational effectiveness through secure, mission-aligned digital solutions.
Required Qualifications
- US Active Top Secret (or TS/SCI) level clearance (eligible for immediate adjudication by the cognizant security authority)
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 10 years SATCOM or telecommunications experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certified or equivalent experience (at least 5 years in management)
- Experience with presentations and oral briefings
- During duty hours, contractor PM or designated representative shall be available within two (2) hours of initial contact (by phone, e-mail, or in person) for any issues
- After normal duty hours, the contractor PM or designated representative shall be available within six (6) hours of initial contact
