Job Summary
Lead missile program engineering, acquisition, and logistics activities while managing the Decision Tech team and multiple subcontractors to meet customer mission objectives. Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly status reporting to the customer and manage the contract financial team for budget development and execution. Ensure adequate recruitment and staffing to satisfy contract requirements, establish short- and long-term goals, and support contract capture and growth as the lead Program Manager for the Weapons business area. Maintain excellent customer relationships and respond to new requirements while participating in corporate financial and program status reviews. This role requires an active DOD Secret clearance (Top Secret preferred) and is a 100% on-site position in Arlington, VA.
Required Qualifications
- Active DOD Secret Clearance
- Top Secret preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in a Technical or Business discipline
- 20 years total experience in Navy weapon or combat systems engineering or acquisition
- At least 5 years as a Program Manager of Navy engineering services contract
- Experience with Navy terminal defense systems, such as RAM and CIWS
- DAWIA Level II, PMP, or equivalent Program Management certification
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a Technical or Business discipline
- Experience with program management, contracts, acquisition, engineering development, testing, analysis, fielding, and logistics support for specific Navy terminal defense systems such as RAM and CIWS
- Experience managing complex combat system development and acquisition programs
- Experience briefing senior leaders on program plans and status
- Experience managing large $50M+ contracts with high levels of customer exposure and intensive customer/corporate engagement
- Knowledge of FMS and international programs and experience with international customers
- Ability to work effectively with team members and subcontractors from various technical, acquisition, and administrative disciplines
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to develop and deliver coherent and concise customer presentations
- Limited travel requirements (<10%)
