Job Summary

Coordinate project coordination and implementation for electric mobility initiatives, including monitoring technical assistance intakes, maintaining databases, and supporting outreach tracking. Draft summaries of outcomes and lessons learned for toolkits, conduct basic data analysis, and prepare project budgets and expense reports. Support market research, content development, and the execution of engagement events while presenting at conferences and managing stakeholder working groups. Assist with proposal development, RFP responses, and funding opportunity tracking to inform program strategy.

Required Qualifications

  • A passion for Forth's mission and values and a desire to deepen your understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Two years of experience in project coordination, preferably in transportation, energy, or related field
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of EV charging technologies and infrastructure, or equivalent experience in an adjacent field (e.g., renewable energy, utilities, electrical trades)
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to provide responsive support to diverse audiences, and communicate solutions clearly and effectively
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative to deliver outcomes
  • Strong project coordination, time management, and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Collaborative, team player approach
  • Basic research and critical thinking skills - ability to gather, analyze, and interpret information from various sources to inform decision-making, solve problems, and stay updated on industry trends
  • Willingness and ability to travel nationally, occasionally overnight, up to 5 times a year
  • Located in or willing to relocate to Portland, OR before starting
  • Able to maintain a safe home office environment
  • A valid drivers license and clean driving record may be required depending on the specific responsibilities of the role, including but not limited to travel, site visits, or other business-related driving
  • Nonprofit sector experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Hands-on experience with EV charger installation across site types (multifamily preferred), and/or construction or property development
  • Familiarity with utility electrification programs and EV charging incentive programs
  • Prior experience in customer service, technical assistance, or other support-oriented roles
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including public sector, private industry, and community-based organizations
  • Existing relationships with relevant stakeholders (electric utilities, transportation agencies, charging companies, car companies, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple conflicting responsibilities and meet deadlines while maintaining work-life balance
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with matrixed organizations; ability to use systems thinking and interpret complex stakeholder needs
