Job Summary
Provide supervisory oversight, direction, and timekeeping management for direct care and instructional staff while coordinating classroom staffing schedules to ensure required levels are met. Support Certified Special Education Teachers by streamlining administrative processes, monitoring attendance records, and managing classroom supplies and documentation. Review training records to ensure staff compliance with certifications and assist with school compliance efforts, including inspections, emergency drills, and transportation coordination. Work directly with students in a direct-care capacity as needed and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and educational professionals to maintain uninterrupted instructional services. Requires a Bachelor's degree and five years of staff supervision experience; based in the Hartford Campus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Five (5) years of experience managing and supervising staff combined with office management experience
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency with data management, scheduling systems, reporting, and recordkeeping
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and foster productive working relationships
- Ability to work directly with students as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a closely related field
- Special Education certification or actively pursuing certification
- Ten (10) years of experience in an educational setting or working with individuals with disabilities in an instructional environment
- Experience supporting multidisciplinary teams and educational programming
