Job Summary
Senior Manager to lead day-to-day operations of ULI Kansas City, owning the district council’s operations, budget, and events calendar. Build and maintain strong relationships with members, sponsors, community partners, and officials; represent ULI KC in the community; collaborate with incoming district council chair and leadership to develop strategic priorities; plan and deliver the annual events calendar; oversee committee programs and volunteer engagement; manage day-to-day operations, calendars, databases, and records; ensure compliance with national policies; supervise a part-time operations contractor; drive sponsorship outreach and financial performance; deliver programs that reflect members’ needs and the organization’s mission.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3–6+ years of relevant experience in nonprofit, association, real estate, urban planning, or community development backgrounds are relevant
- Experience leading programs or operations, not just supported roles
- Strong relationship-building skills with members, community leaders, sponsors, and volunteers
- Financial acumen and budget management skills
- Ability to manage a complex calendar and multiple committees
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- In-person presence at events and community engagements in Kansas City
