Job Summary
Senior Land Surveyor role requiring 20+ years of field and project-management experience in northern New England. Responsibilities include performing conventional and GPS survey computations, land records research, supervising field crews, taking field measurements and stakeouts, making boundary decisions, and preparing final surveys and engineering basemaps for boundary, subdivision, and site plan projects. Coordinate with the Principal Surveyor on staffing, equipment, project scope, and client relations; communicate with architects, engineers, and geologists to deliver integrated survey solutions. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D is a plus; NH licensure or the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months is required or preferred (Maine/Massachusetts licenses are valued). This part-time role (~32–39 hours/week) supports projects across NH, ME, VT, MA and surrounding regions, with a flexible, people-focused culture.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
- NH Survey License or ability to obtain NH licensure within 6 months
- 20+ years of professional land surveying experience in northern New England or similar setting
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform field work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Experience with AutoCAD/Civil3D is a plus
- Strong project management, client relations, and staffing coordination skills
- Ability to prepare and seal final surveys and engineering basemaps
- Proficiency in field measurements, stakeouts, and boundary decisions
- Ability to communicate with architects, engineers, geologists, and multidisciplinary teams
