Job Summary
Senior Professional Services Engineer (Actimize) in Johannesburg, onsite in Johannesburg, South Africa, responsible for configuring, optimizing, and supporting high-performance Actimize backend systems within a Managed Services context. The role involves working directly with clients to configure, customize, monitor, automate, and support Actimize solutions, collaborate with architects and business stakeholders, deploy and run real-time platforms serving large-scale transactions, and drive improvement through automation, monitoring, and run books. Requires hands-on, customer-focused engineering, experience with Actimize technologies, SQL and related technologies, cloud familiarity, and proficiency with DevOps tools. The position offers international exposure and a hybrid work model (2 days in office, 3 days remote) under NICE-FLEX, with opportunities to engage with client leadership and cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software development and/or production support engineering
- Experience in web application development using JavaScript and related technologies
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
- Experience working with enterprise web application frameworks
- Familiarity with public and/or private cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes
- Experience working with relational databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
- Strong Unix/Linux experience including shell scripting and batch scripting
- Understanding of design principles for building scalable, high-performance applications
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git
