Job Summary
Senior Production Underwriter based in New Jersey (or nearby PA) responsible for growing MEMIC’s presence with independent agents and brokers in the NJ territory. Cultivates long-term partnerships, evaluates submissions for profitability, collaborates with underwriting analysts, recruits agency partners, and works with Middle Market and Express Underwriters as well as Loss Sensitive partners to drive strategy and execution. Requires travel across the territory, strong relationship-building, market research, and a proactive, results-driven approach to drive growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- CPCU or insurance designation preferred
- 5+ years of technical P&C underwriting experience
- Strong marketing instincts
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a hands-on, results-driven approach
- Ability to travel extensively throughout the territory
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
