Job Summary
Develop, review, and maintain master production schedules based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and manufacturing capacity. Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, quality, and production teams to ensure materials align with delivery and manufacturing requirements. Analyze demand forecasts to proactively adjust plans, monitor inventory to optimize flow, and lead daily and weekly planning meetings to resolve constraints. Identify bottlenecks, recommend solutions, and support continuous improvement initiatives while coordinating with the supply chain team to prioritize orders. Ensure production plans comply with quality standards and safety regulations, generate accurate KPI reports, and mentor junior planners. Occasional domestic travel (5-10% annually) is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline
- 5+ years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment
- Master's degree
- 3+ years of experience
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems
- Oracle
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must be able to work from either the Cranston or Bristol facilities as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
- Defense and aerospace industry experience
