Job Summary
Conduct mechanical assembly and electrical wiring of equipment in accordance with work instructions, verify components against job parts lists, and prepare completed units for dispatch. Mentor and coach team members while ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental requirements, and the Company Business Management System. Report discrepancies to Production Management and support site-based installation activities across the UK as required. This role supports continuous improvement initiatives and fosters positive team behaviors within a leading principal contractor with an order book exceeding £4.3 billion. Full-time employment is available with flexible working options discussed during the recruitment process.
Required Qualifications
- The ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Experience in a similar senior production, assembly, or electrical role
- A sound understanding of workplace health and safety practices
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritise workloads
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- A positive approach to problem-solving and adapting to changing priorities or specifications
- The ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
- A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
- A commitment to fostering a respectful workplace that values inclusion, diversity, and equal opportunities
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, Maths, and Science
- City & Guilds Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering
- Qualification to the current edition of the IET Wiring Regulations
