Job Summary
Senior Production Control Specialist responsible for creating, tracking, and managing production work orders and DHR/DHR-related documentation to ensure medical devices are produced and documented in compliance with regulatory standards. Functions include preparing and maintaining work order packets, printing and maintaining DHRs and production travelers, ensuring revision control, validating post-production documentation, navigating ERP for material availability and receipts, coordinating with the Production Supervisor/Manager to ensure materials are available and properly issued, organizing materials to meet production goals, and supporting engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams. Maintains serial-number control, logs, and tracking systems for issued DHRs, manages work orders through release to manufacturing/engineering, ensures proper serialization, and validates production orders in the ERP system. Collaborates with Production Planners and Management to meet deadlines, supports documentation changes for drawings, BOMs, labels, and work instructions, adheres to cGMP and ISO 13485 environments, and drives process improvements while delivering excellent internal/external customer service.
Required Qualifications
- ERP expertise required (Epicor E10 preferred)
- 3+ years of planning experience in a high-mix low-volume medical device manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of BOM structures and material planning
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of cGMP, FDA QSR, ISO 13485, SOPs, and safety guidelines preferred
- College degree preferred
