Job Summary
Construct scenery, environments, and fixtures using wood, steel, aluminum, and composites while executing scene painting techniques and welding. Manage load-ins and strikes for custom shows and broadcasts, monitor shop supplies, and maintain scenic assets through daily set walks and warehouse organization. Operate CNC routing, 3D software, and Gerber Edge equipment for sign production, and guide the team through priority changes and new employee training. Serve as the primary point of information for safety concerns and creative design decisions on the shop floor. This onsite role in West Chester, PA, requires Wednesdays through Saturdays, 8am to 6pm, with no relocation assistance available.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of set construction, technical or design experience in television, theatrical or entertainment lighting
- High school diploma, vocational degree, or equivalent experience
- Experience reading blueprints and floor plans
- Experience in mechanical repairs and maintenance
- Experience with Wood, Plastic and Metal fabrication, painting techniques, fabric and vinyl
- Experience with Microsoft Suite, and AutoCAD2021
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in carpentry, painting and the assembly and rigging of scenery
- Relocation assistance is not available for this role
- The current shift for this role is Wednesdays through Saturdays, 8am to 6pm
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CNC, vinyl cutting and printing, and 3D printing
- Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop experience
