Job Summary
Senior Product Support Specialist providing remote technical support for MicroGrid and Power Generation equipment. Responsibilities include developing Statements of Work (SOW) and Methods of Procedures (MOP) for preventive maintenance, offering technical assistance to Customer Service Managers and engineering teams, supporting complex start-ups, field troubleshooting, onsite technical support, managing onsite engineering changes, and assisting in field retrofit projects, product troubleshooting guides, and training. Travel up to 45% and collaboration with Product Support Manager to prioritize tasks.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of commercial/industrial experience with Generators, ATS/switchgear, and Paralleling Control systems
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering may substitute 4 years of experience
- Proficient in reading Electrical/Mechanical Schematics and Engineer of Record Drawings
- Experience with PLCs, Generator Controllers, Protective Relays
- Alternators and Generators
- Medium Voltage NETA Maintenance and Testing
- Data Center preventive maintenance and system testing
- Commissioning and field experience required
- NFPA 70 ARC Flash Certification preferred
- Valid Driver’s License
- Strong understanding of AC/DC Electrical Theory and operational theory of Switchgear/PowerGen systems
- Skilled in troubleshooting and editing controller/PLC/HMI programming
- Experience in product testing and development (5+ years)
- Strong communication, time management, and analytical skills
