Job Summary
Oversee hardware and mechanical integrity of the product portfolio by evaluating schematic designs, PCB layouts, and 3D mechanical structures from JDM/ODM partners to identify design vulnerabilities and resolve flaws. Scrutinize Bills of Materials for critical components, establish comprehensive test schemes, and audit reports to guarantee quality control during mass production. Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize assembly line planning, guide regulatory certification processes, and manage design documentation across the New Product Introduction lifecycle. Maintain knowledge of competitor designs to drive continuous improvement in product reliability.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ year direct hardware or mechanical design experience across the full product lifecycle (concept to mass production)
- 3+ year of experience of managing new product development, with a documented focus on product reliability and cross-functional execution
- Bachelor degree in Mechatronics, EE or ME
- Professional proficiency in EDA software, SolidWorks, and engineering simulation/modeling tools
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and coordination skills in English
Desired Qualifications
- Proven expertise in high-reliability industrial design for 5G/LTE routers, network switches, IP phones and IP cameras
- Master degree or higher
- Profound knowledge on reliable hardware and mechanical engineering principles within standard and ruggedized industrial environments
- Familiarity with synchronized hardware and mechanical co-design
- Clear, precise professional proficiency in Mandarin
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering (EE) or Mechanical Engineering; a Master's degree or higher is strongly preferred
