Job Summary
Develop and execute product marketing strategy to drive awareness, adoption, and revenue growth for Mercury's Cards and Spend Management products, including IO, credit cards, and spend management features. Go deep on products, the market, and customers to articulate positioning, messaging, and value propositions using quantitative and qualitative data. Plan and execute GTMs, nailing audience segmentation, channel strategy, and measurement while collaborating with Product, Design, and Engineering to influence the roadmap. Partner with Sales and Relationship Management to improve win rates and upsell opportunities, and build relationships with brand teams for campaigns, case studies, and PR outreach. Roll up your sleeves to handle everything from writing press releases to interviewing customers, translating market insights into actionable plans.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years experience
- 3+ years of product marketing experience at a tech company
- Product marketing depth: expert in personas, positioning, messaging, pricing, and GTM strategy
- Marketing breadth: understanding of channels and content types, and how to use them to deliver the right message to the right audience at the right time
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across different levels of the company
- Strong strategic thinker with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans and initiatives
- Customer-centric – excited to talk to customers and have experience doing customer research that is turned into actionable strategy and recommendations
- Flexible and have an understanding that in a fast-growing startup like ours, your job might change as priorities shift
Desired Qualifications
- Ideally at least 1 year of product marketing experience in fintech
- Experience with data analysis and SQL
