Job Summary
Champion Scrum ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives to drive team alignment and continuous delivery. Collaborate with designers, engineers, and client stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of product goals and technical feasibility. Apply design thinking practices and service design principles to connect user journeys with backend processes and organizational systems. Maintain Agile artifacts in Jira and manage backlog items to ensure stories are well-defined and aligned with sprint goals. Serve as a facilitator and coach for Agile best practices, removing blockers and enabling autonomous teams. Partner with product owners to define priorities and refine roadmaps based on feedback.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- 7+ years of experience with Scrum/Kanban Methodologies
- 7+ years of experience serving as a Product Owner or Scrum Master
- Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence
- Ability to help teams write user stories/epics, identify dependencies, and design optimal solutions
- Flexibility to work with teams, individuals, and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and people
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
- Experience working in a studio / human centered design approach
- Must be comfortable with leading exercises with business partners
- Must have critical thinking skillsets
- Must be available for on-camera interviews and assessments
Desired Qualifications
- CSM and/or SAFe certifications preferred
- Local to the Washington, DC metro area preferred
