Job Summary
Lead two independent engineering teams to build the next generation of the Wirecutter commerce platform, focusing on Data & Monetization systems that improve reader experience and drive business outcomes. Articulate a clear vision and roadmap for monetization and data platforms while executing a unified strategy spanning product catalog, user engagement, and revenue attribution. Drive affiliate revenue systems, including third-party integrations, data accuracy, and revenue attribution, through rigorous testing and research across hundreds of merchants. Lead daily operations to ensure clear priorities and an effective operating model, thoughtfully balancing investments across varying time horizons and platform needs. Integrate perspectives from Revenue, Editorial, and partner Product teams into strategic and tactical planning, maintaining broad awareness of execution against priorities among non-technical stakeholders. Continuously evaluate workflows to identify opportunities for smarter execution and higher impact, acting as a key voice in refining platforms and enhancing cross-team collaboration. This hybrid role is based in New York City with two days in-office per week.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in product management
- 3+ years of experience in a technical or data-focused role
- Strong systems-thinking skills, with the ability to zoom in and out fluidly
- Proven track record of driving business impact
- Comfort using AI in daily product management and team workflows
- This is a hybrid role based in our New York City headquarters
- You can typically expect to come into the office 2 days/week
