Job Summary
Senior Product Manager for Platform Engineering & Toolchain leading end-to-end product management of internal platform products enabling secure, compliant and high-velocity software delivery. Responsibilities include championing user research and discovery, aligning engineering and business stakeholders, driving platform capabilities (CI/CD pipelines, developer portals, artifact management, observability), embedding security/compliance as product features, guiding cross-functional teams, and measuring outcomes with data analytics/OKRs. Requires deep knowledge of platform engineering, DevOps, CI/CD, cloud, infrastructure-as-code, and a proven track record in delivering developer-facing products in regulated contexts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of experience; Master’s Degree with 7+ years; or PhD with 3+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience as a Product Manager contributing to platform, infrastructure, or internal developer-facing products
- Knowledge of Agile product management, product discovery frameworks (Lean, Dual-Track Agile, Jobs-To-Be-Done Framework, Continuous Discovery), and outcome-based roadmapping
- Evidence of real user research and discovery practice
- Strong understanding of Platform Engineering, DevOps, CI/CD, cloud platforms, infrastructure-as-code, and developer experience
- Prior hands-on engineering experience or deep technical background in software delivery
- Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams including Engineering, SRE, Security, and Architecture
- Proven ability to engage engineering teams as a technical peer—can discuss architectural trade-offs, evaluate technical debt, and contribute to design discussions
- Strong analytical, user empathy, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communicator able to build trust, influence without authority, and align teams in a complex, matrixed enterprise environment
