Senior Product Manager, Merchandising & Marketing Tools

Job Summary

Own the long-term strategy and execution roadmap for Shipt's marketing, merchandising, and media tooling, translating complex business needs into high-impact software solutions. Ruthlessly prioritize the product backlog based on data, engineering effort, and business value, balancing immediate operational quick-wins with long-term platform scalability. Partner closely with Engineering, Data Science, and Design to translate operational strategies into clear, actionable technical specifications, user stories, and system requirements. Serve as the central point of contact for diverse business units, deeply understanding their workflows and pain points while defining and tracking key performance indicators that measure system efficiency and downstream business impact on customer trust.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • A couple years ideally in internal tools
  • Masterful stakeholder management
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills
  • Deeply data-driven mindset
  • Analytical approach leveraging quantitative data alongside qualitative insights
  • Strong team-first mentality
  • Ability to partner with, align, and deeply understand diverse business, operations, and technical teams
  • Ability to paint a compelling picture of why a feature matters
  • Ability to build strong consensus across highly diverse teams
  • Ability to drive forward progress
  • Ability to define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Ability to measure system efficiency, tool adoption, and downstream business impact on customer trust and engagement
  • Hybrid work arrangement in Birmingham, AL (in-office at least 2 days per week, core days Wednesdays and Thursdays)
  • Hybrid work arrangement in Minneapolis, MN (in-office at least 1 day per week on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday)
  • Hybrid work arrangement in San Francisco, CA (in-office at least 1 day per week between Monday and Thursday)
  • Full-time in-office presence (if role classification requires it)
