Senior Product Manager

Job Summary
Drive product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle by gathering and prioritizing requirements for Government customers and partners. Define short- and long-term initiatives to maximize user adoption, reduce development costs, and ensure solution quality while managing license agreements and business capture activities. Facilitate reseller and manufacturer integration, train personnel on product implementation, and support existing services as they are adopted. Enhance capabilities and partner maintenance activities, including end-of-life parts and regulatory changes, while influencing cross-functional teams without formal authority. Work independently to align initiatives with revenue and customer satisfaction goals, leveraging advanced knowledge to improve policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Active/current Top Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of relevant experience in Government funded programs related to the telecommunications industry
- 5+ years of direct product management experience in a technical industry
- Excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to convey products, deliverables, analyses, and/or issues clearly and confidently, and recognize and adapt to different communication techniques
- Excellent teamworking skills in execution of small and large tasks
- Ability to influence cross-function teams without formal authority
- Can easily build meaningful relationships with others, including senior leadership outside of your own department, and is comfortable providing constructive feedback to your team members and management
- Be able to analyze a situation or problem, generate effective solutions, and see those solutions through to completion
- Must possess the creativity and resourcefulness needed to make reliable decisions and determine methods on new assignments
- Can thrive in a dynamic environment by handling multiple tasks and managing shifting priorities
- Be proactive in sharing knowledge you've learned with others
- Enthusiastic, attention to detail, results oriented, organized, motivated and self-driven
- Be able to travel up to 30%
- Be a U.S. Citizen
- Work at least three days per week (approximately 60%) in an Iridium office
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a technical discipline or business degree
- Experience with communications technology and/or positioning & timing technology for U.S. Government platforms and solutions including but not limited to soldier systems, vehicles, aircraft, unmanned solutions, sensors, etc.
- Experience with delivering software products in an agile environment
- Experience with the development, manufacturing and integration of electronics-based solutions
- Experience with IT (Information Technology) environments, cloud architecture, and best practices
- Experience with Windows and Microsoft Endpoint Manager
- Experience with Android and mobile device technology
- Experience in creation of functional specifications, project schedules and building plans to deliver
- Comfortable dealing with the ambiguity of new products, scenarios, and incubation work
