Job Summary
Own the multi-year product strategy and vision for Hippo's Insurance Products platform, spanning the rating and pricing engine, coverages, deductibles, and eligibility logic. Lead end-to-end execution of large-scale initiatives, translating market and regulatory trends into roadmaps that drive profitability and risk mitigation. Partner with Engineering, Legal/Compliance, and Operations to deliver compliant, auditable solutions while establishing operating cadences for prioritization and launch readiness. Define success metrics, instrument product changes, and communicate data-driven tradeoffs to executive leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in product management
- Full ownership of the product backlog
- Leading the end-to-end software development lifecycle
- Collaboration with a team of at least four engineers
- Delivering impactful and user-focused solutions
- Proven track record of owning or building platform-level products
- Experience with rules engines, pricing/rating engines, configuration systems, or similar core infrastructure
- Leading large-scale improvements to core infrastructure
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams
- Delivering high-impact products
- Ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve ambitious goals
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to earn trust across business, technical, and executive audiences
