Job Summary
Hands-on Aladdin Product Manager to own the strategy, configuration, and continuous improvement of BlackRock's Aladdin platform across our investment and front office ecosystem. Serve as the primary product owner for Aladdin, define and maintain a prioritized roadmap aligned to front office and risk management priorities, and collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to understand business challenges. Engage with portfolio managers, traders, risk managers, and compliance officers to surface pain points, gather requirements, and validate solutions. Escalation point for Aladdin-related production issues; manage day-to-day client relationships, service reviews, licensing discussions, and SLA accountability. Maintain a living Aladdin knowledge base; partner with engineering through full DevOps/Agile delivery cycle; write user stories and manage releases. Contribute to API and data integration design between Aladdin and surrounding systems (Perform, Verity, Snowflake, internal data platforms); coordinate UAT, parallel runs, and cutover planning for enhancements. Prioritize and track enhancement backlog with client management, advocating features that align with investment platform strategy. Requirements include 8+ years in the domain, deep Aladdin experience, SQL/Snowflake proficiency, Python a plus, strong communication skills, and exposure to GenAI in asset management. Location: New York City; hybrid with two days in office; authorized to work in the country without sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years in product management, business analysis, or solution design within financial services
- Deep, hands-on technical experience with BlackRock Aladdin OMS, risk analytics, compliance, and portfolio management modules
- Experience with Order Management Systems (Perform) and Research Management Systems (Verity, Everest) is a strong plus
- Strong understanding of investment workflows - trade lifecycle, portfolio construction, performance attribution, risk monitoring
- Proficiency in SQL and Snowflake; Python a plus; comfort working with APIs and data pipelines
- Solid grasp of Agile/DevOps delivery — user stories, sprint planning, CI/CD awareness
- Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa
- Exposure to GenAI applications in Asset Management
