Job Summary
Own the product roadmap for Salla's expansion across the GCC, diagnosing merchant drop-off between signup and first order to ship targeted product changes. Drive payment gateway integrations, know-your-compliance flows, and regulatory adaptations while deciding which core features require market-specific tuning versus shared infrastructure. Define metrics for activation rates, time to first order, and regional retention, building measurement frameworks where benchmarks are absent. Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, design, operations, and legal without direct authority to communicate tradeoffs and sequencing. Requires five years in product management with experience in fintech or commerce platforms, Arabic fluency, and willingness to relocate to Saudi Arabia.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience owning product for a market expansion or geographic rollout at a software, fintech, or commerce platform
- Deep understanding of merchant activation dynamics
- Payments and know-your-customer fluency
- Familiarity with Gulf market realities
- Track record improving time-to-value in a self-serve, low-touch environment
- Strong analytical instinct
- Experience leading cross-functional work without authority
- Five or more years in product management
- Meaningful ownership in an ambiguous or early-stage context
- Arabic fluency
- Willingness to relocate to Saudi Arabia
Desired Qualifications
- Experience at a platform ideally one requiring adapted payments, compliance, or onboarding across regulatory environments
- Gulf residency or prior regional experience
