Job Summary
Senior Product Manager at Fieldpiece responsible for VOC-driven product strategy across hardware, firmware, software, cloud-connected solutions, and digital services. You will spend time with technicians, distributors, contractors, and industry partners to identify workflows and unmet needs, translate insights into product opportunities and business cases, and shape the roadmap. Collaborate with engineering, data, and commercial teams to define requirements and prioritize opportunities that balance short-term impact with long-term ecosystem growth. Lead commercialization and go-to-market efforts, define positioning and segmentation, and partner with sales, marketing, and channel teams to ensure successful launches. The role requires strong customer-discovery capabilities, market analyses, pricing strategies, and the ability to translate customer feedback into actionable product decisions. Travel up to 25% to engage with customers and stakeholders; hybrid schedule in Southern California. Fieldpiece emphasizes VOC-driven decision making, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous innovation across connected hardware, software, and services.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of product management, upstream marketing, product strategy, or related experience
- Proven experience bringing technical products from concept through commercialization
- Strong background in connected products, IoT, software platforms, SaaS, cloud-enabled solutions, or digital ecosystems
- Experience working closely with engineering and software development teams
- Demonstrated ability to gather customer insights and translate them into successful products and business outcomes
- Strong business acumen with experience developing business cases, pricing strategies, and market analyses
- Exceptional communication, storytelling, and stakeholder influence skills
- Experience working in industries involving physical products, connected devices, industrial equipment, tools, instrumentation, or technology solutions is highly desirable
- Ability to travel up to 25% to meet customers, distributors, and attend events
