Senior Product Manager

Job Summary
Own the product strategy and roadmap for a complex product area, defining requirements for features spanning multiple squads and influencing technical architecture decisions with engineering leadership. Lead discovery on high-ambiguity problem spaces, structuring research to validate opportunities before build, and drive end-to-end launch of significant capabilities while partnering with commercial teams to achieve adoption targets. Mentor less experienced Product Managers, raise product practice quality across the team, and represent EML's perspective in client engagements, scheme discussions, and regulatory conversations. Balance strategic prioritization against commercial targets, platform scalability, and multi-jurisdictional compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 5–8 years of product management experience
- meaningful portion in payments, card issuing, transaction processing, or financial services
- Proven track record of owning complex, ambiguous product areas and driving them to successful outcomes
- Deep understanding of payments fundamentals including card scheme rules (Visa, Mastercard), authorisation and settlement flows, interchange, and regulatory frameworks
- Strong technical fluency - ability to engage with engineering teams on architecture, API design, and system integration decisions
- Demonstrated experience mentoring or coaching other product managers
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience influencing senior leaders and external partners
- Experience operating in regulated environments across multiple jurisdictions (UK, Australia, US, or EU)
