Senior Product Manager, Ecommerce

$180,000–$180,000 year

On-siteOakland, California, United States

Full TimeSenior LevelSmall

Job Summary

Own the full P&L for Dutch's ecommerce business, setting targets and driving accountability across revenue, margin, and profitability for both prescription and non-prescription products. Lead the complete reimagination of the product storefront from concept through execution, partnering with design and engineering to build a vet-credible, high-converting experience. Manage the consumer-facing conversion funnel end-to-end, diagnosing drop-off points and building a testing roadmap to measurably improve performance. Define and evolve the assortment strategy, curate collections, and implement selling mechanisms like subscriptions and bundles. Partner with the AI team to build a personalized recommendation engine grounded in EMR data and vet insights.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product management experience in ecommerce, marketplace, or consumer product businesses, at a startup, with a track record of driving meaningful revenue growth
  • Direct, hands-on experience owning a storefront across its full surface area — homepage, collection pages, PDPs, and the items file — not just directing others who owned it
  • Proven, measurable success improving consumer-facing conversion funnels — you can point to specific before/after results you drove
  • Demonstrated experience owning a P&L and managing to margin and profitability targets, not just top-line metrics
  • Deep comfort with data: you know how to read it, question it, and turn it into decisions and recommendations
  • Experience working cross-functionally with product, design, engineering, and data science teams to build and ship
  • Strong commercial instincts — you can identify a market opportunity, build a business case, and execute a plan to capture it
  • Exceptional drive and self-motivation: you set ambitious goals, hold yourself accountable, and find a way to win

Desired Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Shopify; if not Shopify specifically, you should have a strong point of view on which CMS and item-management tools you'd choose for a business like Dutch, and why
  • Experience with membership or subscription-based business models — not required, but a plus
  • Experience in pet, health & wellness ecommerce
  • Background working with AI/ML-powered personalization or recommendation systems
  • Familiarity with vendor negotiations, wholesale buying, or marketplace supplier management
