Job Summary
Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Cash & Payments, including bank connectivity, reconciliation, and payment workflows. Define the roadmap, make build/buy/partner calls on integrations, and run early adopter programs with real customers and bank data. Write clear PRDs with explicit scope, non-goals, and acceptance criteria while partnering with engineering leads on architecture-level decisions. Set and report on domain-level metrics such as activation, match rate, and feed reliability, and act as the executive-facing owner of your area. Mentor Associate PMs and PMs, and represent DebtBook credibly in front of customers, prospects, banks, and partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in product management, with meaningful time on data-intensive or integration-heavy B2B products
- Demonstrated ownership of a product area with revenue or adoption accountability
- Fluency with financial data
- Strong technical judgment
- Exceptional written communication
- Comfort making decisions with incomplete information
- Direct customer exposure as a habit
- Experience using AI tools in a real analytical or product workflow
- Comfort in a fast-moving environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in treasury, banking, payments, or public finance
- Hands-on familiarity with bank file formats and connectivity (BAI2, ISO 20022, SFTP polling, aggregator APIs)
- Experience with payment rails and their operational realities (ACH, wires, RTP, check/positive pay)
- Experience with reconciliation or matching products
- Experience selling into or building for the public sector
- SQL fluency
- Familiarity with accounting standards
- Experience running early adopter, design partner, or beta programs
- Experience with GitLab, Jira, or comparable tooling at scale
