Job Summary
Own the payments strategy roadmap, defining metrics for float days and cost per payment while driving optimization through smart routing and surcharge deployment. Lead multi-quarter initiatives balancing quick wins with longer-horizon bets in RTP, FedNow, and open banking APIs. Manage commercial relationships with key Payment Service Providers, holding vendors accountable to SLAs and incubating strategic fintech partnerships. Serve as the internal fintech leader, identifying regulatory risks around Money Transfer Licenses and defining product strategies for Agent of Payee and Payment Facilitator models. Engage customers to enhance fund collection and deliver low-cost solutions supporting $35B in annual payment throughput.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of product management experience
- 3+ years in payments, fintech, or financial services
- Proven ability to build and drive a multi-quarter product roadmap
- Strong working knowledge of payment rails and processing fundamentals (ACH, RTP, FedNow, SWIFT, card networks)
- Enough familiarity with interchange economics and optimization levers to make informed roadmap decisions
- Working knowledge of US payments regulatory concepts (MTLs, Agent of Payee, Payment Facilitator models)
- Ability to define risk-mitigation product strategies
- Experience managing relationships with payment processors, PSPs, and technology partners
- Ability to influence commercial outcomes
- Ability to produce concise, data-driven memos and presentations on complex financial and regulatory topics
- Ability to engage with engineering on API integrations
- Ability to work on data modeling for payments reconciliation
- Ability to work on systems architecture

Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in M&A due diligence, corporate development, or strategic consulting focused on payments or billing
