Senior Product Manager, Analysis Ready Data Products

Job Summary
Document product requirements, synthesize customer feedback, and assist with sprint planning alongside engineering teams to drive delivery of Analysis Ready Data products like Mosaics, ARPS, and Fusion. Collaborate with data teams to build metric dashboards, support early-access programs to validate product-market fit, and partner with pre-sales to ensure optimal product-customer fit. Join customer meetings as an evangelist to teach and engage with real-world use cases in deforestation tracking, crop health monitoring, and disaster response. Contribute foundational data products for AI-native solutions while helping the team transition to a solutions-oriented approach. This full-time hybrid role requires three days per week in San Francisco or Arlington.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in product management, technical program management, or a closely related role
- Comfort with software development concepts and workflows
- Experience working directly with engineering teams
- Ability to make decisions that align with Planet's technical and strategic roadmap as well as Planet's core values
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to build alignment across cross-functional teams through clear communication and a collaborative approach
- Experience with monitoring-focused EO products
- Background in remote sensing science, image processing, or geospatial data analysis
- Experience building and scaling core data or imagery products that serve multiple market segments
- Experience working closely with technical customers and understanding their imagery and remote sensing use cases
- Experience with remote sensing, geospatial data, or satellite imagery
- This position requires access to export-controlled information, and as such, employment (or hiring of a contractor) is contingent upon the candidate's ability to access all applicable export-controlled information without additional export licensing being required by the Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls
- This is a full-time, hybrid role which will require you to work from our San Francisco or Arlington office 3 days per week
